Backbone State Park

The results of my 10 mile hike at Backbone State Park. I started at 10:30am and finished at about 2:00pm. I hiked the entire park, except for part of the East Lake Trail, since I veered off on the Bluebird trail.

There were deer, hawks, many other birds, and hunters that sounded way too close.

The backbone itself is very rocky and has vegetation unlike anything I’ve seen in Iowa.
