Wiouwash State Trail

(last updated July 29, 2008)

The trail is an estimated 22 miles long in this section. It’s a wide gravel path in the summer and groomed snow in the winter.

The state website does not show where this trail goes other than a couple outdated, strait lines connecting towns. The Winnebago County Parks Department has a useful brochure you can print at http://www.co.winnebago.wi.us/Parks/WiouwashInfo.pdf with information and a map, but it is only for the section in Winnebago County.

My goal is to use my gps to gradually create a more complete map of where the trail goes and have it available for other people to use on their own gps. The map will also include trails that are connected to the Wiouwash Trail.

All unnamed tracks are very rough estimates of where the trails go without any reference to other maps or the gps. Some parts of the Friendship Trail I have not even been on yet.

Snowmobiles are allowed on the Wiouwash trail depending on snow conditions.
